A hidden gem in Whitehills
From the moment we arrived, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals made us feel right at home. The food was simply exceptional, especially the breakfast. it set a new standard for hotel dining. The beautiful beer garden was a perfect family retreat with plenty of space and a play area for the kids.
The en suite bathroom in our room was a bit small, but it was manageable considering the overall comfort of the place.

The atmosphere was welcoming, with a cozy feel and a lovely beer garden perfect for relaxing. While the food quality was impressive, particularly the full Scottish breakfast, the bathroom was rather small, which made getting changed a bit challenging. it's a charming spot for a short stay with family or a couple. Just be mindful of the tight bathroom space.

Very friendly welcome with a cozy atmosphere by the log fire. The staff were attentive and the food was excellent (had an amazing full Scottish! ). Perfect for exploring the quaint coastal village and its lovely walks.
Some table service could use a bit more finesse.

The huge, comfy bed made for a cozy night's sleep, and parking on-site, while limited, had ample free street alternatives.
The room felt tight, with old electric shower pressure lacking, and the low lighting gave it a darker vibe. We also struggled to find the pub, as the signage left much to be desired.

The friendly welcome created a cozy atmosphere next to the log fire, making it easy to relax and enjoy the evening. Dining in close quarters with locals was a highlight, adding to a warm, communal vibe. Breakfast stood out with perfectly cooked poached eggs, quality bacon, and an exceptional full Scottish that redefined hotel dining standards. While the en suite bathroom was somewhat small, it didn't detract from the overall comfort of our stay.

Exceptional Food and Cozy Atmosphere
What an amazing stay! The food here was nothing short of phenomenal, especially the fish pie and the giant 16oz burger that was so massive I couldn't finish it. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made it feel like home, and I loved lounging in the beautiful beer garden surrounded by colorful flowers. One minor suggestion would be to improve the signage to help locate the pub more easily.

the en suite bathroom was a bit small, and the signage for the pub could be better.

The room we had was super cozy, with a huge comfy bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. We enjoyed lounging in the sunny garden and taking in the peaceful vibes while sipping tea. The TV selection was great, but the shower pressure could use a bit more oomph, although it didn't spoil our stay at all. 😊
